Punk: Youth and The World

Punk has been around for more than 30 years, since 1977. It all basicly started around the same time period, however it started in different places. The two biggest movements is in the United Kingdom and the U.S. The UK scene brought great artist like Subhumans, The Sex Pistols, G.B.H. Charged, UK Subs, and many more. The US gave birth to equally great bands such as The Dead Kennedies, Black Flag, Lower Class Brats, Operation Ivy, The Casualties, and the name that will never die The Ramones.

The article was written with “in-depth interviewing within punk subcultures in the Southern California region.”

Her blogs are more like articles. One of her blogs that i liked was about femecide. The blog mentions the practics of femecide, where its still practice. He is recognized by all punk enthusiast. Virus is a software engineer and the vocalist for Evacuate and former bands Cheap Sex and The Virus. He has a structured perspective of what punk is. Many punks can’t really argue with his point of view because he’s very convincing and very intelligent.

Levine, N. (2003). Dharma Punx. New York: Harper OneNoah Levine writes a memoir on his adolescence. His parents were both junkies and he was doing drugs at a young age. Levine writes about suffering and overcoming.
